Behavioural Management, Alaska,
Inc. (Behavioural Management) was established in 1996 as
one of the first independent providers of Employee
Assistance Program (EAP) services for DOT regulated
organizations and Alaskan school districts. All
Behavioural Management's clinical staff have extensive
experience as well as graduate training at least to a
masters degree. Since 1996 we have provided
services to individuals, couples, families and
organizations.
The Drug/Alcohol-Free
Workplace Act (Act) of 1988, and it's revisions, requires
any employer who receives more than $25,000 in federal
contracts or grants to certify that they will provide a
Drug/Alcohol-Free workplace.
In response to both the
Act and specific customer requests, Behavioural
Management developed a range of specific programmatic
responses to support our clients in complying with the
Act mandates. The Drug/Alcohol-Free Workplace
(D/AFW) services we offer include:
- Policy and
compliance program development assistance.
- Drug/Alcohol-Free
awareness programs.
- Substance use
assessment, referral, and treatment coordination
services.
- Substance use
treatment and aftercare monitoring services.
Our organizational
structure is designed to facilitate localized clinical
management services which meet a uniformly high national
standards of practice.
The National Safety
Council 1996 Edition of Accident Facts report that
approximately 20% of all workplace deaths are a result of
vehicular accidents, which include all types of motor
vehicles. The same report also provides another startling
statistic - 16% of all workplace deaths are a results of
assaults and other violent acts in the workplace. The
recent past has witnessed a dramatic increase in the
number of employer organizations affected by workplace
trauma and other critical events.
