Education Programs

Behavioural Management, Alaska, Inc. provides a variety of educational programs designed to meet the need of active adults.

Behavioural Management provides federally mandated programs for recurrent training of employee's under DOT Drug and Alcohol Abatement programs on the Web.

Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluations, rehabilitation assistance and follow-up services are provided under the scope of this program.  For individuals or organizations not enrolled in the Behavioural Management EAP costs for these services are competitive.

 

Standard evaluation of individuals that are considered to have positive test results will consist of:
  • Administration of Assessment Instruments
  • Face-to-Face interview
  • Collaboration through collateral contacts of information developed.
  • Written results to the Medical Review Officer (MRO) in a standardized format.
  • On-going monitoring of rehabilitation program
  • Written recommendations for return-to-duty by the Medical Review Officer.
Educational seminars are available.  Prevention of problems is the goal of these seminars.  Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Stress Management
  • Anger Management
  • Parenting Skills
  • Communication in Relationships
  • Issues of Adolescence
  • Effective Parenting
  • Work and Family, A Difficult Balance
  • Basics of Nutrition and Exercise
  • Dealing with Difficult People
  • Budget Management and Family Finances
  • Substance Abuse and other Dependencies
  • AIDS Information
  • Single Parenting issues
  • Coping with Change

BMA is also able to provide client specific Education Programs.
